Name:  Ono, Misao

Lives: In the Temporary Housing Unit (THU) in Shichigahama. She originally lived in a smaller housing unit and was asked which new THU she would like to move to. She asked to be closer to her grandchildren who were living in a THU close by to the THU that Yarn Alive meets in. She had seen Yarn Alive on T.V. and really wanted to be a part of it.  She was very happy to be placed in this THU where Yarn Alive gathers.

First starting coming to Yarn Alive when it first began

Favorite Project: Vests

Favorite color: Navy blue

Favorite thing about Yarn Alive:
Learning different kinds of crocheting and ideas from different people. When she was young, she use to do a lot of knitting so since coming to Yarn Alive, she has started to remember those things she once did and is now becoming better.

How has life been affected by March 11, 2011:
Her husband pasted away 4 years ago and she was just starting to get back on her feet but then the tsunami came and took everything away.

Although bad things happened with the tsunami, she is now positive and looks forward. The positive thing through all of this is that she has made so many new friends.
